William Douglas Applegate, 67 of Tollesboro passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. Born in Mason County, February 28, 1947 to the late Lloyd “Deb” Applegate and Kathryn Mae Wallingford Applegate. He was a retired bus driver for the Lewis County School System.
Mr. Applegate is survived by his loving wife Janie Workman Applegate; son Kenneth (Greta) Applegate; daughter Katrina (Jimmy) Hinton; sisters Linda (Robert Browning) Mason, Debbie (Dudley) Boling, Marla (Mike) Niccum and Shelia Stanfield; grandchildren Kelly Johnson, Jennifer Smith, Tori and Taylor Hinton and Tyler Mustard; 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mr. Applegate will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015, 1PM at Barbour and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Tollesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015, 5-8PM at the funeral home.
