It is with a sad heart that we say “farewell for now” to our beloved Bruce Melvin Smith of Goodyear, Arizona who passed away peacefully in the arms of his dear wife JoAnne Smith Saturday evening August 14th at 11:15pm. Born December 19th, 1941 in Charlevoix, Michigan to parents Merritt Roger Smith and Margaret Evelyn Smith, Bruce blessed this Earth and those who knew him for 79 years. The youngest of three siblings, Bruce was intelligent, loving, sharp witted, and exuded a presence which drew in people and animals alike. He passed no judgements and accepted his fellow man for who they were. He lived by the principles of God and returns home with honor.
Bruce is survived by his wife JoAnne Smith; 9 children Rebecca and Christian Jensen, Scott and Pam Smith, Ashley Browning, Keirsten and Sam Sangster, and Christopher and Andrea Browning; 9 grandchildren Caleb Jensen, Kelsey and Christian Mangum, Annika and Nolan Frandsen, Errika and Sullivan Quinn, Michael Sangster, and Alyssa Browning; and 1 great grandchild Gwendolyn Mangum. Until we meet again.
