Christine Marie Henderson

Christine Marie Henderson passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2024, at the age of 69. Family and friends surrounding her.

A celebration of life will be held at 12PM on January 18th, 2025.

Born on March 25, 1955, in Atikokan, Ontario, Canada, Christine moved with her family to Winnipeg as an infant and at the age of eight the family moved to Minneapolis where she spent her childhood. She attended school and began building a life defined by warmth and determination.

Christine’s professional journey was one of adaptability and dedication. She initially pursued a career as a beautician before moving to Phoenix Arizona in 1997 and transitioning into real estate, where her hard work and commitment left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. Her ability to connect with people was a hallmark of her career and life.

A devoted animal lover throughout her life, Christine rescued numerous dogs, cats, and even parrots. Her compassion for animals reflected her kindhearted nature and unwavering care for all living beings.

Later in life, Christine relocated to Mesa, Arizona, where she met Robert Peter “Pete” Henderson—the love of her life. The two were married on April 5, 2008, and moved to Winslow Arizona. The couple shared many cherished years together filled with love and companionship. They relocated back to Phoenix AZ in 2019.

Christine is survived by her beloved husband Pete; her mother Milly Shane; and her brothers John (Juli) Shanderuk and Greg Shanderuk. She also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will hold her memory close to their hearts.

Christine’s resilience and compassion touched all who knew her. May her memory serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to those who loved her.
