

Gilbert Molina Lugo, passed away May 18th, 2021 at his daughters’ home in Litchfield Park, AZ. Gilbert was born December 19, 1951 to Fernando P. Lugo and Angelina Molina in Phoenix, AZ where he would reside his entire life. He took much pride in growing up in the barrio of south phoenix where he enjoyed his time with his brothers and cousins. He would often talk a lot about all the amazing memories and lifelong friends he had met there.
Gilbert enlisted in the US Army on October 4, 1973 where he enjoyed his time in the military as a Motor Transport Operator and a Water Treatment Specialist. After the Army he served in the US Army National Guard. He served a total of 13 years with the military which gave him great pride. After serving in the military, he worked for the State of Arizona for a total of 20+ years as a case manager in the welfare division. He retired in 2003 and since enjoyed his time working part time to keep himself busy.
He was a proud father to his children, Gilbert ‘Bebe’ Torres, Paul Lugo, Gilbert Lugo Jr, and Angelina Almanza. He was also a very proud Tata to his grandchildren, Angelina Almanza, Jacob Almanza, Denver Lugo, and Memphis Lugo.
Those who knew Gilbert would say he was a very humble, hardworking man, that loved his family. He loved to see his family living life to the fullest. Even though we are saddened by the loss of Gilbert, it gives us great joy to know that he is reunited with his parents, son, and many other family and friends in Heaven.
Services will be held June 4th, 2021 at 10am at Advantage Crystal Rose Funeral and Cremation Services in Tolleson.
