

Life experiences shared with Matias Diaz... Thank you Lord for sharing Matias with us. We were blessed to have him in our lives. Matias was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, teacher and coach. He wore many hats and played many roles in our lives. He was a wonderful role model, who led by example. He also learned from life's challenges. He was the rock and foundation of his family who instilled values, traditions, spirituality, character and respect. Matias was a man of service and faith, who had a soothing nature and unconditional love for everyone he knew. He was forgiving and had a humble heart. His genuineness shined through as he dropped everything to help out. He had a wonderful smile and an infectious laugh. He had the heart of a child, always playful and having fun. He will forever be in our hearts.
Matias was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico on April 29, 1967. He passed in Phoenix, Arizona on June 30, 2016. Matias married his beautiful bride Lola in 1992 and left a legacy of which he instilled values, their five children Celina, Kassandra, Matias Jr., Logan, and Izzabella. His accomplishments were many; a world traveler, he earned a Bachelor's in International Business, a Master's Degree in education, 1 chapter away from obtaining his Doctorate in education, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he became an American Citizen,he was an educator, a volleyball and soccer coach, a family man, Jack of all trades, an expert griller/ cook/ baker, Folklorico Dancer, pianist and guitarist.
