Rosemary Lyn Graves was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Virginia E. (Booth) Conklin and Edward J. Conklin. She married Randy Dale Graves on December 2nd, 1972 in Phoenix, Arizona in a small ceremony that still brought a twinkle to her eye when she reminisced about it. They just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary together and still called Randy “her Cowboy” and would dance together in the kitchen.
For her professional career, Rosemary worked as a dental assistant and hygienist. Rose and Randy had a life-long love of owning and riding their horses, and she loved all things country-western. Once born, she became a full-time mother to her sons Joseph and Joshua. She cherished this role as caretaker of the family, especially when she became a grandmother to Joshua Jr. and Jada. Her energy and spunky personality could brighten any room and her creative mind helped make lasting memories of pillow forts, tea parties, and magical adventures. Rose maintained a love of all animals throughout her life, especially stray dogs, cats and injured birds she would nurse back to health. She had a strong faith and love for the Lord, known by all who interacted with her as she never hesitated to ask to pray for you. She was generous and loving with her kindness, sharing the abundance she had with others regardless of how big or how small.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Dale Addison Graves and Jeanette Hazel Graves. She is survived by her husband, Randy; her son, Joseph and wife Marissa Graves; her son Joshua Graves; grandchildren Joshua Graves Jr. and Jada Graves, all of the Phoenix area.
She is also survived by her brother, Alan Conklin and wife Maureen (Buffalo, MO) and sister, Patricia Nelson (Colorado Springs, CO). She leaves behind a special cousin who was like a sister, Barbara Cast (Phoenix, AZ) and a special niece, Lynn Patterson (Colorado Springs, CO). She also leaves behind one aunt, Donna Booth (Sun City, AZ) and several cousins.
Private family services will be held at a later date in Payson, AZ.
