Rueben Ray Fredrick Beard-Neal

Rueben Ray Fredrick Beard-Neal born on April 24, 1991 in Phoenix, AZ to Laticia Beard and Ruben “Fred” Neal. Rueben was the 1st born of three children. He was the most creative, funny, loyal, and most loving person a family could have. Rueben graduated from North Star Charter School in 2009. He attended Estrella Mountain Community College as a Business major. He was a mischievous child, but turned out to be a very kind, wise young man. He passed August 26, 2020.

He wrote freestyle poetry and conscious rap songs. He loved fashion and was a trendsetter to his peers. He enjoyed listening to old school r&b music and would sing and dance with his mama. He was an aspiring rap artist and had thousands of songs written. In high school he was a football player and earned MVP during his football career. He loved his family and spending as much time with them as he could. As a big brother, he protected and kept it real with his siblings and was always there for his brothers when they needed him. He was always in charge when mom was away. He took the authoritative power to his head and “bossed” his brothers around. He was an amazing cook and could throw down on the barbeque grill. He wanted to open a family soul food restaurant in Phoenix, AZ. He enjoyed speaking positivity into the younger generation and made sure that they stayed on track. He had a unique sense of humor that could lighten the moment with a joke. Rueben will be forever missed and never forgotten.

Rueben is survived by his parents Laticia Beard, Ruben “Fred” Neal, his grandparents Hazel Beard and Benny Stokes, his god mother Ethel Beard-Buckley, his brothers Marquiz Beard-Neal, Jalen Beard-Gray, Zyare Neal, Chris Smith, Ruben Neal, Dante Neal, his sisters Ebony Barton, Kesauna Conway, Valerie Neal, Dymon Neal, Lashaun Gary, and Toniqun Evans, his nephew Jax Carter Neal, his sister-in-law Mahalie Thomas, his God-Son Jason and a host of family and friends.
