After a courageous battle with cancer, Adam Paul Simicich Sr., 60, passed away peacefully on July 17th, 2025. Adam was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and spent most of his early life living in Old Bridge, NJ.
A true gearhead at heart, Adam spent his life turning wrenches as a mechanic, and lived for anything that had an engine. Whether it was dirt bikes, muscle cars, or motorcycles, he found joy in mostly anything that ran on gasoline. He also enjoyed time at the range and appreciated the skill, patience, and precision the sport required. One of his greatest sources of happiness was his son AJ, who not only shares his love for mechanics but made it a career of his own. Seeing his passions live on through his son gave Adam immense pride.
Adam was predeceased by his parents, Lenin Simicich and Kathryn Dymkowski, his brother Todd, and his dear friend Katie Ann Palmeri. He is survived by his loving partner Maureen Trainor and their beloved dog Harper, his son, Adam “AJ” Simicich Jr. and his wife Lauren; his two grandsons, Hunter and Colton; his brothers, Lenin and his wife Donna, Lee and Drew; his nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
In place of flowers, the family asks that you honor Adam by spending time doing what he loved - fixing something, riding free, or making memories with those close to you
