Beloved Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Pop, and Friend was called to Heaven on the morning of May 21st in Lititz, Pennsylvania, after a heroic battle with cancer. His motto has been “Whatever It Takes” it applied then and it applies now to our everyday life.
Born in Suffern NY, he was raised in Dutchess County, NY. He was a volunteer firefighter in Dutchess and Ulster counties. Anthony was a superior athlete in many sports, especially softball and bowling. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, NY Giants, Nascar, and Golf. He enjoyed all things Marvel, The Rocky Sagas, Star Wars, and countless action adventure films. He also enjoyed visiting friends and family in Florida, going to Walt Disney World, and was always up for fun at the Seaside Boardwalk.
Anthony's career path started in Hess's Department Store, where he rose to the position of Operations Manager in Poughkeepsie and Kingston, NY. Upon marriage, the next career move was into the Corrugated Box Printing industry in New Jersey. During his time at Container Graphics and Spec Dies, he climbed the ranks, eagerly learning everything he could, becoming a Plate Mounter, Graphic Artist, and supervisor. He retired in April 2022 to be near Michael, Alesha and Dean in Lancaster County PA. For his Semi-retirement, he chose to work as a Head Cook for the Warwick School District in Lititz, PA. which he enjoyed thoroughly!
What was most fulfilling in his life was being with family as much as possible. He valued every second of time he spent with family and has created countless memories with all. He also was a wonderful friend, evolving to be open minded and accepting of all people (excluding Aaron Judge, “He is not my Yankee Captain.”) His many enjoyments throughout life consisted of coaching with the Island Junior Baseball League for 11 years, enjoyed creating and maintaining sports statistics for his players, and excelled in bowling leagues in NY and NJ. He always loved his mother's Italian cooking and enjoyed time with family and friends around the table. Food was his passion. He was a grill master and always needed to know what the food plan was for the day.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 31 years Paula, his son and daughter by marriage Michael and Alesha, Dean Anthony his grandson, “Pop's greatest joy and bud”. His mother Marie.
