Barbara S. Bobowski

Barbara S. Bobowski (née Shenesky) known as Bobbie to family and friends, age 65, passed away peacefully at home on Friday April 15, 2022. Bobbie was born in Elizabeth, NJ on September 7, 1956, where she lived until moving to Beachwood, NJ in 1980 with her late husband and love of her life, Jim. After staying home with her children until they were of school age, she found a career at Comcast working in the dispatch department retiring last year.

She is survived by her son Jimmy of San Francisco, CA, daughters Jessie of Spring Lake, NJ, Sami of Pine Beach, NJ and two granddaughters, Madeline and Adelaide, whom she loved and adored endlessly. She also leaves behind a sister, Norma, two son-in-laws, Jake (Jessie) and Dan (Sami), a granddog Charlie, and countless other family and friends who will continue to love her and celebrate her life. She is predeceased by her sister Donna, sister Renee, as well as her parents, Norman and Bunny.

Bobbie was known for her sweet, loving nature, tremendous generosity, and her sincere care for others. She had a big heart and everyone who had the honor of knowing her, loved her. She was warm and welcoming with an infectious smile that made everyone feel they were loved and appreciated. For many, she was only a text or phone call away. She loved going to Disney World and on Disney Cruises with her family. In her spare time she could be found shopping, listening to country music and spoiling her beautiful granddaughters.

She is now reunited with her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly 30 years in eternal rest. She is irreplaceable and is already missed.

There will be a small service for immediate family and friends only. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Spring Lake Educational Foundation, a nonprofit corporation that was created to provide supplemental funding to enhance the education experience for all students and staff at H.W. Mountz. This foundation has and will continue to enhance the academic wellbeing of her beloved grandchildren, Adelaide and Madeline.
