
Carl Herman Loesch, 89 of Manchester Township died on January 30th at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was born in Long Island City, NY before moving to Lakehurst and then Toms River, NJ. He worked as a printer’s apprentice at the Ocean County Sun newspaper before enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1950, bravely serving four years including tours in the Korean War. He subsequently worked as a chemical operator for CIBA-GEIGY Corporation, Toms River for 37 years. He was a loving partner, father and grandfather; an avid reader of suspense fiction; a devout fan of all New York sports teams and enjoyed taking care of his miniature Dobermans. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Maria and Anton Kreutter. He is survived by his loving partner of 25 years Charlotte Comelleri of Manchester Township; son Kevin, daughter-in-law Athena and grandson James of Wall Township. Visitation is February 14th, 4-7pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. Burial is February 15th, 11am at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
