

Celeste Lenzo, 99, of Berkeley Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on July 1, 2021. She was born and raised in Jersey City. She and her husband Paul moved to Somerset County before moving to Silver Ridge Park section of Berkeley Township 34 years ago.
Celeste worked at Fink’s Department Store in downtown Jersey City for 25 years as a salesperson and then a clothing buyer. She was a member of the Silver Ridge Women’s Club. Celeste was a faithful communicant at St. Joseph’s Church in Toms River. She was famous for her baking, especially her biscotti cookies. No one could ever leave her house without a container of her special cookies to take home.
Celeste was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Paul, and two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her son Paul Lenzo and his wife Joyce of Forked River and her daughter Diane Frace and her husband Dave of Bel Air, MD; five grandchildren Janelle and her husband Dave, Paul, Justin and his wife Amanda, Mollie and Jason; and two cherished great granddaughters, Amalie and Maryn.
A Mass in her honor will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or EWTN Global Catholic Television Network in memorial of Celeste.
