Charles W. Metz, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 30th at the age of 82 in Toms River NJ.
Born on November 1st in Irvington New Jersey, Charles was the son of Charles W Metz Sr and Margaret Metz. He graduated from Clark Regional high school and dedicated 40 years to a successful career in Civil Engineering, known for his dedication, hard work, and kind disposition.
He was the loving husband of Arlene N. Metz for 60 years and a devoted father to Charles W. Metz III, Jonathan Metz, Elizabeth Metz and David Metz. His family was his greatest joy, and he instilled in his children values of kindness, integrity, or hard work.
Charles was a man of many passions, including fishing, baseball and football. He had a strong passion for spending time with family and was known for his strong faith, punctuality and kindness.
He is survived by his wife, 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grand children.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday September 5th from 2-5PM at Anderson Campbell located at 703 Main Street in Toms River New Jersey.
