Claire E. Leidy, 90, of Toms River, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Holiday Care Center. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Washington Township and in Beachwood for 21 years before moving to Toms River. Claire was a talented seamstress and she also enjoyed needlework and ceramics. She loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband Lester Leidy in 1987, her sister Caroline Ollweiler and brother Herbert Lurz. Surviving are her daughter Laura Cheremisinoff and son Lester Leidy; two cherished grandchildren Linda Cheremisinoff (Joseph Thurnherr) and Paul Cheremisinoff and her great grandson Joseph. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Gloria Lurz and her many nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral services will privately be held at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River with a private entombment at Garden of Memories in Westwood.
