Diane was born on December 28th, 1961, and grew up in Roselle Park as the oldest of five siblings. Her parents Adib & Mirth Liddawi, as well as her large extended family, enjoyed many outings and gatherings that lead Diane to be the caretaking, compassionate, faithful individual we all know and love. That compassion and unwavering faith is what led Diane to pursue her education in Early Childhood Development at Kean University, earning her Bachelor’s degree and later going on to pursue her Masters in Psychology at Georgian Court University. Diane began her teaching career in Roselle NJ and then joined the Jackson School District where she held various impactful positions across the district. The compassion that Diane displayed with whomever she came in contact with left an indelible impression, which became her legacy.
Diane retired from the Jackson School District in 2017 to spend more time with her husband, family, and her eight cherished grandchildren who brought her so much love and joy. Upon retirement Diane continued to make an impact changing countless lives along the way. Diane had a natural ability to make everyone she met feel heard, respected, special and above all else LOVED! She was the radiant light that resonated in every room she walked into. Her selfless spirit was evident in every endeavor.
Diane’s unconditional love and resounding faith was her guiding light through life.
Diane had many passions in life that brought her much joy, such as baking her AMAZING cookies and seeing those around her enjoy them. Nurturing, spoiling and playing with her grandchildren. But most importantly loving and growing her family to continue her legacy with God, Faith, Family, and Love above all else.
Diane left behind her loving husband Phil, four beautiful children and spouses’ Erik (Ashley) Zingler, Kayla (Brian) Fernandez, Krysta (Vince) Jamele, and Katelyn (Slav) Basyuk, eight wonderful grandchildren Lucas, Emily, Dean, Skylar, Sydney, Paul, Anya, and Brian Jr., three surviving siblings Nancy (Steve) Siracusa, Renee (Allen) Wichelns, Michael (Chris) Liddawi, along with her beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Diane is predeceased in death by her loving parents Adib and Mirth Liddawi, and beloved brother Stephen H. Liddawi.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Diane's visitation on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 12pm to 4pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 1329 RT. 37 West. Toms River, NJ 08755.
