Donato V. Perna

July 30, 1927 – November 25, 2025

Donato V. Perna, son of Michael Perna and Maria Melillo, was born on July 30, 1927. He proudly enlisted in the United States Army on November 6, 1945, and faithfully served his country until February 8, 1947.

On April 28, 1957, Donato married the love of his life, Anna Cascio.

Donato worked as a plumber for Dutches Kitchen, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.

He is survived by his loving children, Maria and Donna, and is reunited in heaven with his beloved daughter Jennifer, who was very special—an angel in his heart.

He is also predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Joseph, Pasalina, Lenna, Salvatore, Columbia, Jerry, Anthony, and Michael Nick.

Donato was blessed with cherished grandchildren:

Jarrett, Danny, Michelle, Tommasino, Anthony, Nicholas, Ronnie, Raymond, Michael, and Annmarie.

His beloved great-grandchildren include:

Grayson, Dominick, Anatasia, Michael, and Luna.

He is also remembered by many loving nieces and nephews, and a special thank you to his son-in-laws Raymond Behar and Ronnie Grieco for always being there for him.

Donato will be remembered for his cigars, his wine, his sense of humor, and his generosity. His legacy lives on through all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ 08757. Cremation is private.
