Born in Pomona, KS, she lived in California and later in Ocala, FL for over twenty years before settling in Holiday Heights in 2013.
A United States Navy veteran of World War II, Ms. Irvin was a secretary for NASA for many years, and later worked as a Police Dispatcher for the City of Torrance, California.
She was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Hulse, in 2014.
She is survived by her son, Joseph and his wife Ann of Clifton; her grandchildren, Kristen Warin of Hopatcong, and Kellie DeSantis of Mahwah, Christina Hacker of Wayne, and Richard Pescatore of Jersey City; four great-grandchildren, Breana, Justin and Cameron Hacker, Richard John (RJ) Pescatore and Tyler Nieman.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 9-11am at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
