Edward B. Lake, 93, of Manahawkin, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at home. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he resided in Staten Island and Toms River before coming to Manahawkin in 1987. Ed was employed at Dupont, Perth Amboy, NJ as a boiler engineer and finished his career as Facility Maintenance Engineer for Ocean County College, Toms River.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anna M. Lake, in 1986 after 42 years of marriage. He is survived by his children, Robert Lake of Brick, Lorraine Smith and her husband Thomas of Manahawkin, and James Lake and his wife Kate of Jackson. He is also survived by six loving grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visiting will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River.
