Edward V. Wilbert, 94, of Toms River, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 peacefully at home. Born in Lakewood, he was a lifelong resident of Toms River. Edward was employed as an auto mechanic at Down’s Ford in Toms River for over 50 years. He was a longtime faithful member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church in Toms River. Edward enjoyed gardening; especially growing tomatoes and he loved to travel.
He was predeceased by his wife Florence “Gloria” and his parents Foster V. and Helen (Irons) Wilbert. Surviving is his sister Nancy Hildick of Toms River; and many caring nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m., with a Service at 4:30 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. Cremation is private.
