Finn was born to parents Torsten and Dagny Larsen on July 17, 1932 in Søgne, Norway. In 1962, Finn moved to New York and shortly thereafter, in 1964, he married Sonja Herland in Brooklyn, New York. Finn joined Local 926 Carpenters Union and was a member for 32 years.
Finn had a supernatural courage for hard work, and was an amazing provider. Finn was generous, loving, humble, strong, sensitive, and his presence in our lives inspired us to be better and do better.
Finn is survived by his wife, Sonja Larsen; his sons, Kenneth and Katarina, Rodney and Christiana; his five grandchildren, Maya, Sidonie, Christopher, Caleb, and Charlie.
A memorial celebration of Finn’s life will take place at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River, NJ, on Saturday, August 14 from 2PM to 4PM, with a short service taking place at 3PM. A reception will follow at Artisan’s Restaurant in Toms River.
