He was born in Brooklyn, Kings, New York in 1937. He lived in Jersey City, NJ for most of his adult life and then moved to Bogota, NJ before settling in Toms River, NJ for his later years.
Fred worked for Bell Atlantic for the majority of his career before retiring.
He was a member of the Elks Club, Tri-Boro First Aid, and served in the Army. He loved tinkering with gadgets and fixing watches for all his friends and family, was an avid coin collector and a wealth of knowledge.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife Chicky, girlfriend Margie, grandson WalterFred, mother Hedwig, two brothers George and Eddie, and countless in-laws.
He is survived by his brother, James Moore, children Ricky, Stephanie, and Franky, grandchildren Anthony Wilson and Sallianne Sullivan, grand son-in-law, Christopher McGough, and the best great-grandson, Skylar Sullivan.
A visitation for Fred will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
