

Born February 14, 1937, Valentine’s Day, Ginger was everyone’s valentine, she never met a person she didn't like---she never met a person who didn't like her. Always a lady, she left us for a better place on May 13, 2016 after a long and cruel struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born in Yonkers, N.Y., Ginger attended St. Clare Academy in Hastings N.Y. and graduated from New Rochelle, N.Y., High School in 1957.
Ginger was preceded in death by her mother and father, David and Agnes Mulcahy of New Rochelle, N.Y. and her brother David Mulcahy of Biloxi, MS.
She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Bill of Toms River and three step children Edward and partner Nancy Lewis of Asbury Park, David of Moorpark, CA and Anne and wife Janet of San Diego, CA; grandchildren Tyler, Kyle and Morgan of Brick, and Brittany of Santa Monica, CA; nephews David Mulcahy, Biloxi MS, Patrick Mulcahy, Naples, FL, Michael Mulcahy, Bailey, CO; sister-in-law Yvette Mulcahy, Biloxi, MS and her favorite cousins Stan and Maureen Straub, Wappingers Falls N.Y., John and Denise Lynch of Colorado and cousins Karin, Paul, Mark, Kristen, Alicia and Christopher.
Working in N.Y.C. for Republic Steel Corp., Ginger started as a teletype operator quickly becoming a sales assistant and later promoted to be the first female sales person in the steel industry in the U.S.
Marrying Bill in 1966 and moving to New Jersey, Ginger commuted to New York for a few years then joined Bill's business, Winder Industries Inc. as a corp officer first at Hudson Marine in Elizabeth, then at Win-Tron Electronics in Spring Lake Heights
While still at Win-Tron, Ginger founded and operated her own marine business, "Sea Jewels" selling nautical jewelry and accessories wholesale and retail, nationwide and exhibiting at many boat shows.
Ginger was always happiest enjoying her waterfront home on the Toms River, watching her huge colony of Purple Martins and migrating ducks, tending her flower garden, entertaining on the deck, shopping for clothes and visiting Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
A Memorial Gathering to Celebrate Ginger’s Life will be held on Sunday, May, 22, 2016 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donation could be made in Ginger's name to Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave. Denville, N.J. 07834
