Gladys Mae Kroon

Gladys Mae Kroon, 87, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012, at Crestwood Manor in Whiting. She was born in Milltown, NJ and lived there until moving to East Brunswick, then later to Seaside Park. She moved to Whiting five years ago. After graduating high school she worked for Johnson & Johnson for a number of years and later retired from Rutgers University. Gladys was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Milltown, NJ, and The Union Church of Seaside Park, NJ. Her family was the joy of her life, especially her adored grandchildren.

Mrs. Kroon was predeceased by her husband Richard C. Kroon Sr. in 2011. She is survived by her two sons: Richard Jr. and his wife Ellyn of Bayville, and Jeffrey and his wife Marybeth of Toms River; her two daughters: Jennifer of San Jose, CA, and Stephanie and her partner Richard Messer of Rhinebeck, NY; her brothers Theodore Fahrenholz and Robert Fahrenholz and his wife Claire; her sister Joyce Fahrenholz Latschar and her husband Albert all of NJ. She is also survived by her six wonderful grandchildren: Hayley, Jonathan and his wife Sami, Kyle, Elizabeth, Kerri, and David and was soon to be the great-grandmother of Jaxson Kroon.

Visitation will held on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. There will be a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home. Burial will be immediately following at Brigadier Gen. William C.
