Hazel B. Newell, 92, of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday July 25, 2016 at Bey Lea Village in Toms River. Born in Cleveland, Ohio Hazel had lived in New Brunswick, before moving to Toms River in 1987. Hazel worked at Rutgers University (Cook College) for many years as a Secretary. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1988. She was also predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two loving sons, Scott Newell and his wife Debbie of Toms River, NJ and Ronald Newell and his wife Sherree of Lawrenceville, NJ, four grandchildren, Brian Newell, Kimberly Newell, Aleesha Newell and Samantha Newell. Hazel is also survived by her sister Lois Reith of Willowick, Ohio. A visitation will be held Thursday July 28, 2016 from 2-4 pm & 7-9pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street Toms River, NJ. A prayers service will take place 8:30 pm on the evening of the visitation. Cremation is private.
