

Born on April 19, 2003 in Lakewood, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Juan Rivera and Jeimy Zuniga Rivera, sister to Itzel Rivera- Zuniga. Ingrid shared a special bond with her beloved pet dog, Ghost, who brought her immense joy and comfort throughout her life. Ingrid attended Georgian Court University where she majored in Criminal Justice, minored in Psychology and concentrated in Law Enforcement and Corrections. There she was president of the criminal justice club and part of the Track and Field program. She was also a member of the Criminal Justice Honor Society and Chi Alpha Sigma (student athlete national honor society).
Ingrid had an incredible ability to make others laugh and always knew just what to say to brighten someone's day. She was exceptionally smart and the go-to person whenever anyone needed help or advice. Her kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor made her a cherished friend to many.
Ingrid began at the Toms River Police Cadet program and became a class one police officer for the Toms River Police Department. Ingrid joined the force to make a difference in her community. Known for her unwavering commitment to helping others and unbelievable work ethic, she was always there to lend a hand to those in need. Her compassion and dedication to service were evident in every aspect of her life. Ingrid had aspirations of becoming a detective and her dedication to her studies and community were a testament to her commitment to this goal.
Ingrid’s memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A viewing will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a 4:30 pm prayer service at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ.
Cremation will be private.
