Irene Stephanie Rucki

Irene S. Rucki, age 91, of Toms River, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Bey Lea Village, Toms River. Born in Newark, she resided in Hillside, NJ before coming to Toms River in 1980. Irene had worked for American Can, Hillside, NJ for 30 years before her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, Toms River; member of the Polish Women’s Alliance and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hillside Elks. Irene was considered a great cook and loved her trips to Atlantic City.

Irene was predeceased by her husband Albert in 2000; her sister Clara Adamchak and her brothers Frank and Walter Pagowski. She is survived by her son Craig Rucki and his wife Patty of Toms River; her daughter Susan Rucki of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her sisters Helen Ahlquist of Mountainside and Regina Bush and her husband John of Toms River. She is also survived by 4 granddaughters Jennifer Haas and her husband Tom, Kristen Kipp, Kyle Ann Rucki and Karissa Rucki; great grandchildren Patrick, James and Kaylei as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be held Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ.. A funeral mass to celebrate Irene’s life will be held Monday, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River. Interment will follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made by visiting .alz.org or by mail to Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
