

James Brennan, 79, of Forked River, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at home. Born in New York City, he lived in South Toms River for over 40 years before moving to Forked River in 1999. For over 20 years James was employed by Ciba Geigy in Toms River and later retired from Toms River Regional Schools. He proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War. James enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling and spending time with his cherished family. He was a member of the Friends and Neighbors Club of Pheasant Run.
He was predeceased by his wife Rosemary in 1996 and his son Stephen in 2009. Surviving are his children Dawn Sontag, James E., Wayne, Kevin, Karen Brennan, Joseph, Marianne DiStasio and her husband Chris and Thomas and his wife Hope; his loving companion Patricia Gantt and her caring family; three grandchildren Christine and Shawn Brennan, Robin Clayton and Aaron Brennan; and his adored great granddaughter Katalina.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Cremation will be private.
