I wrote this 2 days after dad died.  I am so blessed to have so many friends and family be so supportive now. Your thoughts and prayers are so appreciated        As you all know dads strength, his will, his caring for his family was beyond any words I could explain. He will be selfishly missed by me. But he deserves  a good life again. I know he on his boat enjoying wind and smelling the fresh sea air. He has given so much to his family. When I see Kelly she has his confidence. Mary she has his strength and the problem solver. And finally me I have his fight. Dad said he raised strong women. He did mom added the faith and kindness. With all three together we have the many strengths of dad. Dad treasured every holiday every Sunday dinner just any time we
Were together. We love him and miss him already but I know my father will be watching over everyone in heaven. So grand kids he is watching so behave. You know   He loved his little girls Kati and Shannon. TJ or better known as little Jeff. And my dear Christopher you now have two very special men in my life looking out for you. Dad's life has made a difference in many lives. I will always strive to follow in my parents footsteps

To Dad:
It's been said that our society is lacking strong Catholic Men.    I could be standing before you today and profess that we are now short ONE MORE.     However, I am not going to say that…… as my DAD lived his life in such a way that the Hearts he touched will never be same.  

In my heart, I have come to know that we are all given the gifts needed to live the life we are called to while helping those around us along the way.  My Father always used his Strength, awesome sense of humor, intelligence, determination and compassion to help Others. 

He used whatever role he was given as a platform to Serve:  My Father was first and foremost a FAMILY MAN.   He absolutely adored my Mother.   He was a loving husband, beautiful Provider and Protector. He was a loving Father who raised three strong women (and you can all ask our husbands).   He sacrificed to ensure we went to Catholic school.  I can recall that one day I asked my dad why we needed to go to private school.   I can still recall that he said that one day when he approached the gates of Heaven that St Peter was going to be standing there asking him if he did everything to raise his children in the very best way that he could. He also loved his Son In Laws as his own Sons.  He has told me on more than one occasion, how lucky he was to have the Son in Laws that he has (Tom, Joe, and Steve).   He was always there for them when they needed him.  He was an Awesome Grandfather!  My sisters and I would laugh and say , “ that is not the same man who raised us”…     The “Grand kids” were his light (Kati, Shannon, TJ and Christopher).  Not a day went by that he did not do everything he could to help and love them. My Dad was a Loving Son.  He always helped his parents.  He was a loving Son in Law and cared for Nana for nearly 30 years. He was a Loving Brother and really loved them.  He was a Loving Brother in Law.  I can honestly attest that when any of them needed him…he was there.   He loved his nephews and nieces.  

As a Business owner- I can't tell you how many people came to me to share how he helped them and how special my dad was.    One time, I shared how nice it was regarding an act of kindness…    He said, “Kellyanne, sometimes people just need a break”. 
   
Through the Holy Name, I recall he brought people together while protecting our Lord's good name. As PTA President, he always helped our devoted Dominican Sisters of Hope.   He was always available to anyone who needed help.   I can recall, one time, a parent called him for help when he was no longer PTA President because they knew he would find a way to help them.  Of course, we don't know how he did it, but sure enough…   he did.

As a Patient, he used that role to serve in many ways.   He accepted his suffering and when he was hospitalized would adapt to the environment in a comical way at times.  He knew Dietary's number and would call them every day from his bed sharing what he wanted.   He is the only patient I know after being a nurse for over 20 years that had a Standing Order for sausage that was actually entered and would print up on the nurses care plans.     One day the nurses asked him to visit others who were discouraged.   I leaned over and whispered to my mother, did you ever imagine in a million years that Dad would become an inspirational speaker.   We laughed a lot at that one.     As a patient, he grew in his FAITH during this journey.   He grew in his devotion to the Divine Mercy and found great hope in the message that there is no sin greater than Gods Mercy.   He prayed the Chaplet every day at 3pm and prayed for mercy for the whole world. After he died, I noticed that He died with his scapular on.   Through his example, he role modeled how he knew that those who believed in Jesus would never die and would be protected in His infinite Mercy. 

Dad was EVERYONEs Problem Solver:  If anyone needed him, he always came through.   My sisters and I can honestly say when any of us needed help he was Always there for us. 

My Father was a very compassionate person and was always for the underdog…   and used his gifts to advocate for the weak. He really believed in People and had a way to help instill confidence in others while challenging them to be Strong.   When it was time to hear a tough message, he was always able to give us firm but a loving kick to keep us on the right track in life. 

His Passions: His Passion was his family…he loved to spend time with his family.  Whether we were in the Pool, Disney, the Diner, Holidays (were awesome in my house), Watching movies together or going to the Island together, as long as we were together, Dad was Happy!  He LOVED the Water.  He loved Fishing and BOATING (Whether the boat was working or not).

Dad was a man of great Faith who bore his sufferings with Courage.  He taught us how to live and how to die.   He was never perfect; he was genuine, real and loved God and others with a Full Heart.  He always forgave people and never held a grudge.

So…   I guess we could say we are short one good strong man….   But anyone who crossed paths with my Father, perhaps learned to Love Deeper and Live Well. He certainly helped leave the world in a little better shape than it would have been without him.

The Role of a Father is meant to represent our Heavenly Father on Earth.    Although those are pretty big shoes to fill, I can tell you honestly…   he did it with Great LOVE!

To The Werth Family,

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Werth's passing. I had the pleasure of taking care of him at Southern Ocean Medical Center. We had had many wonderful conversations about Walt Disney World and Monsignor Donovan High School, two places that where very close to his heart. A day didn't go by that he didn't speak about his wife, his children or his grandchildren...you were the light of his life. Please find comfort in knowing how much he loved you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I can only smile when I think of Jeff because he always had one on his face whenever I saw him and he always made me smile right back! Gone fishin' on his boat under now perfect conditions! We will miss him but will always have him near in our hearts.

What a kind wonderful man heaven has received, my husband knew him in his collision correctors days and I had the pleasure of meeting & dealing with him in my career.  He was such a pleasure to speak to and I can attest that his grandchildren we a huge part of his life!!!  May your love & memories of him keep your heart strong!  So sorry for your loss!
