Jerald D. Brooks, 63, of Toms River, died on August 23, 2011 at Robert Wood Johnson Hosp., New Brunswick. Born in Tacoma, WA, Jerald had lived in California before moving to Toms River in 1991. He was a career military for 23 years, serving in the Army and Navy during Vietnam. He worked as a supervisor for Alert Ambulance, Lakewood, for the past 10 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church where he was an usher and sang in the choir.
Survived by wife of 27 years, Alicia Brooks; 2 sons, Jerald Brooks and his wife Janice of Ocean Gate, and Alan Cacho and his wife Jennifer of Virginia; 3 daughters, Annabell Knight and her husband Darryl of TN, Cynthia Hoffman and her husband Richard of MD, and Fatima Joy Brooks of Toms River. Also survived by 5 brothers and 1 sister; 4 grandchildren, Madelain, Mya, Zoe Jane, Breslin.
Visiting will be Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A Prayer Service will be Wednesday, 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veteran Mem. Cem., Wrightstown.
