Joe Cerach of Wrightstown, NJ passed away suddenly and entirely too soon on the evening of January 23, 2021. Although he was battling Cancer for the past 2 1/2 years, it was a sudden heart attack that ultimately proved fatal.
He is survived by his sister, Marianne of Branchburg, NJ, his beloved cats Fiona and Sasha and the love of his life and wife of 26 years, Robin Pine-Cerach. Joe was predeceased by parents Joseph and Shirley Cerach.
Mr. Cerach was employed by Maleson Contracting of Robbinsville, NJ and was an expert woodworker and respected by all who knew him as the guy that could repair or rebuild anything! He was a longtime employee of Performance Record Distribution in New Brunswick and served as Associate Producer of The Slappin’ Mammy's 1990 album “Blackface in Bondage.”
Known in music industry circles as Joey Bolt he was a regular contributor to the collector’s website Discogs and was always working on his extensive collection of recorded music and memorabilia. He was also a beloved fixture of the Jersey Rock Club circuit in the 70’s and 80’s working with bands like T.T. Quick and The Amazing Bolts.
Joe loved all kinds of music, his friends and family, his motorcycle, The Tasmanian Devil, Bernie Sanders and progressive politics, the aroma of an old record store, his many kitties through the years, a bottomless cup of coffee, getting under the skin of supporters of the despised 45th President of the United States and most of all, his loving wife Robin. He leaves an enormous hole in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
Arrangements were entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ.
