

Julia M. Powers, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and Magnolia Gardens community. A woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and lifelong devotion to others, Julia leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love, service, and grace.
Born on May 28, 1935, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Julia was the beloved daughter of Michael & Julia Powers, both born in Ireland. She was an active member of her church communities and gave of herself generously to family, friends, and neighbors throughout her life.
Julia was the devoted mother of Michele Collins-Davies and was preceded in death by her beloved son, Paul Collins. Her children were her pride and joy, and she instilled in them the same values of love, humility, and service that defined her own life. She was also the cherished sister of Rose Powers, Doris Patrick and Georgette Dutkiewitz, all of whom predeceased her. Their bond was strong and enduring, and their memories live on in those who knew and loved them.
Julie is survived by her loving daughter Michele and grandson Michael Davies, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved and adored her. Julie’s nurturing spirit, thoughtful guidance, and steady presence made a lasting impact across generations.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Julie’s life will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 10am -11am with a service to follow at11:00 am, at Ocean Community Church, 1492 Route 72 West, Manahawkin, New Jersey. All who knew Julia are welcome to attend and honor her memory.

Julie’s life was a powerful example of faith, kindness, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She loved the Irish Blessing:
