It is with broken hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Justin Ryan Owens, 35, on December 15, 2024. A devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, Justin was a one-of-a-kind soul who touched countless lives with his authenticity, passion, and adventurous spirit.
Born on November 5, 1989 in Phoenix, Arizona and growing up in Beachwood, New Jersey, Justin was a man who lived boldly and deeply. He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Brittany, and their two-year-old son, Darcy, who was the light of his life. Justin embraced fatherhood with joy and dedication, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
A proud member of the Local 28 Boilermakers, Justin excelled in his craft with grit and determination. Before that, he took on the challenges of the sea as a Commercial Diver, a testament to his fearless and resilient nature.
Justin’s passions extended far beyond his work. He found peace and freedom in the Pine Barrens, where he loved to explore and connect with nature. His hobbies were as unique and vibrant as he was—riding BMX, building and riding motorcycles, racing enduro on his dirt bike, wheeling, working on his trucks, and spending time with his many groups of friends.
To those who knew him, Justin was more than just a friend—he was a connector of people, and a force of authenticity. He showed remarkable vulnerability, creating space for others to feel seen, heard, and accepted as their true selves. Justin had an unmatched ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone he met with his smile, infectious laugh, sense of humor, and unique personality.
Justin is survived by his wife, Brittany; his son, Darcy; his parents, Denise Delaney, and Anthony Owens; his siblings, Jordon Owens, and Jessica White, and a wide circle of lifelong friends and loved ones who will forever treasure his memory.
A celebration of Justin’s extraordinary life will be held on January 11, 2025 at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River, NJ from 3-7pm. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor his memory by sharing stories, laughter, and love—just as he would have wanted.
Justin lived life unapologetically true to himself, embracing every moment with passion, humor, and love. Though his journey ended far too soon, the impact he had on those around him will resonate forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for contributions to a GoFundMe set up in Justin’s honor to support Brittany and Darcy during this difficult time.
