Maria NanniFebruary 26th 1939 – August 18th 2022February 26th 1939, the day Maria’s story began. Maria was born in Newark, NJ. She was born to Carmine Nanni and Lucy Pulcini on Seventh Ave. Maria was a kind Sister, Aunt, and Great Aunt. When you think of our Mary, two things come to mind. Simple and sweet. Although life wasn’t the easiest, she was always happy and positive. Giving her coloring books, candy that she wasn’t really supposed to have once in a while, or something as simple as a shirt was like giving her a pot of gold. Mary was happy with the little things in life. She loved being surrounded by her family the most. Mary’s favorite things to watch were the New York Yankees, The Golden Girls, and General Hospital. Her favorite cartoon character was Donald Duck, she loved to watch the cartoon shorts. She loved wearing jewelry, painting her nails, and coloring in the kitchen while her sister Margie did her crosswords.Mary leaves behind her two sisters, Rosina Nanni and Lucy Romeo. Her three nephews and niece, Mike Evangelista, Anthony Evangelista, Frank Evangelista and Donna Panico. Her great nephews and nieces, Dominique and Sam Evangelista, Jenna Williams, Dominic and Frank Amatucci, Chris and Danielle Evangelista, Tina Neyman, Kristy Sorkin, and Ralph Romeo.Mary is reunited with her sisters, Margaret Evangelista and Antoinette Rosania. Along with her parents Carmine Nanni and Lucy Pulcini.Aunt Mary, words cannot describe how much we miss you. We wish we could have you here with us longer but we know that you are no longer suffering in pain and that it was time for you to be with your parents and sisters once again. Aunt Mary, we love you so much, forever and always.
