

Captain Mark Joseph Eichert, 45, of New Egypt, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday November 8, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Brunswick, Mark was raised and lived in Avenel until he moved to New Egypt 15 years ago. A 1989 graduate of Colonia High School Mark played Football and Baseball, and then went on to Rutgers University where he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. After graduating from Rutgers, Mark began his 20 year career with the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility as a Correction’s Officer. During his career Mark was a Fire Arms Instructor, Defense Tactical Instructor and a Rapid Deployment Team Commander. Outside of work Mark enjoyed being with his family and was an Avid Mets and Jets Fan.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Suzanne (Gliet), his two cherished sons, Timothy and Christopher, his mother and stepfather, Mary Jean and James Bilotti, his father Henry Eichert his siblings Gina Bilotti, James Bilotti, Lisa Eichert, Paul Eichert, Matthew Eichert and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family.
A visitation will be held Sunday November 12, 2017 from 2pm-6pm and again on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 3pm-7pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08759. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday November 14, 2017 10 am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Toms River with entombment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mark’s name may be made to the Church of Assumption, 76 Evergreen Rd., New Egypt, NJ 08593.
