It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Diller, who left us peacefully on November 27, 2025 in Manahawkin, NJ. Born August 24, 1951 in Plainfield, NJ, Mary was raised in Westfield, NJ, where she cultivated her love for life, family, and community.
After graduating from Westfield High School in 1969, Mary dedicated herself to helping others as the director of the Catherine Webster Home in Plainfield. She later devoted her time to raising her beloved family, bringing warmth and comfort to those around her. Second to her love of family was her love of animals, especially her dogs.
Mary was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Diller; her mother, Veronica McCarron Blackman; her father, William Blackman; and her brothers, William Blackman, James Blackman, and Robert Blackman. She is survived by her three children, Robert Diller Jr., Mary Kate Diller, and Liam Diller, and her 5 grandchildren Zachery, Isaiah, Eliza, Cynthia, and Kali. She is also survived by her sister Anne Horan. She is remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her and will be deeply missed by family, friends, and her extended community.
Mary was an avid reader of mystery novels and took joy in the simple pleasures—crafting the most inviting diet cokes and preparing delicious spaghetti and meatballs for those she cherished. Her warmth, humor, and generosity brightened every gathering.
Mary’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched with her kindness and love. Though she has left this world, the memories she created remain vivid and treasured. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered. A private burial is planned.
