Maryann Royce

Maryann was born May 15, 1942. Her parents Hebert and Marjorie Mandell raised her on 6th Street in Lakewood. Maryann's parents owned the infamous Manhattan Hotel on 6th and Clifton. Maryann was a graduate of Lakewood High School in 1960. In 1962 she married Robert Joseph Raimann. Maryann and Bobby raised three boys together and lived in Toms River for almost thirty years together. Maryann went to live an exceptional life volunteering in many non-profit organizations. Maryann attended all of her children’s events and never missed one sporting event.

In 1990 she found the next love of her life and married Lawrence Royce in 1992. Both went onto have a very strong bond and moved back to Lakewood in 1995, living there for almost thirty years on Colonial Drive.

"Mare" as many of her knew her had a great sense of humor, quick to help anyone in need, and always put her children and grandchildren first and foremost.

Maryann loved to laugh and loved to dance. On days when she was feeling down all you had to do was play any song from Earth Wind and Fire and her mood changed so much for the better!

Maryann leaves behind so much to her entire family. Her deep faith in God sustained her even she slowed down and was not feeling her best.

Her love of food and her family sustained her until her time on this earth ended on August 4, 2025. We know she is smiling down on all of us, especially her eleven grandchildren.

Until we meet again Mom-we love and miss you very much!

Maryann is survived by her husband Lawrence. Her son Gregory and wife Monica, their children Alyssa, Ryan, and Brendan. Her son Christopher, his wife Andrea, and their children Colin and Maddy. Her son Jeffrey and his boys Ty and Brett. Her son Lawrence Jr. his wife Karen, and their boys Christian and Lawrence Jr. Her daughter Joy and her children Gabriel and Luisa. Also surviving are her brother Charles H. Mandell and his wife Helaine. Her sister Liz and Doug Lewis. Her sister n law Carole and her special friends Sylvia Behnke, Linda Peck, Eileen Schwaber, Beatrice and Kristen, all of whom were by her side until the very end!

A celebration of life will be October 12th at Villa Amalfi Restaurant, 1006 Route 166, Toms River at 3pm.
