Nicholas Pitti

Born in Palermo, Sicily, Mr. Pitti moved to the United States at the age of 17. He resided in Queens and West Babylon, NY prior to settling in the Toms River area 10 years ago. He was a successful chef and culinary artist up until his retirement 20 years ago. He was an active member of the Holiday City Clubhouse, playing bocce ball, cards and darts with his friends and neighbors.

Nicholas was predeceased by his parents, Silvestro and Rosaria Pitti and his sister, Ina Vaccaro. Surviving is his loving wife, Maria; children Salvatore Pitti and his wife, Giovanna of Port Jeff Station, NY, Rosario Pitti and her husband, Pietro of Palermo, Sicily, and Silvestri Richard Pitti and his wife, Michelle of Toms River; grandchildren Gisella and Salvatore Falcone, Orianna, Nicholas, and Angelina Pitti; brothers Joseph Pitti of Toms River and Luigi Pitti of Palermo, Sicily; and many loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 11AM to 3PM with services at 2:45 at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Cremation will be private.
