

She was the beloved daughter of Harry James Layton and Elsie Graham Pile; mother of Alexandra Niles (nee Keller) Calabrese; Corinne Graham Keller and Jennifer Layton Keller; and proud grandmother of Nicholas Niles and Christopher Graham Calabrese, Henry Keller and Claire Layton Fishman, and Nathaniel Thomas Hampden Manrique. Patricia is also survived by her brother Harry James Layton Jr. She was predeceased by her sisters Elsie (Claire) Layton Kortze and Dorothea Joan Layton. A graduate of Douglas College with a teaching degree and Rutgers University where she received a Master’s in History, Patricia was a retired teacher of over 30 years many of them at Elberon Elementary School where she earned the Cable Television Network of New Jersey Golden Apple Award in 1990 based on nominations from students and the community and selected by CTN executives. She was also an avid genealogist who enjoyed history and spending time with her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, Nov 11 from 11 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Toms River.
