Patricia A. McCauley

February 5 1947- February 10 2026

Patricia (Pat) McCauley (née Brady) 79, of Tom's River after a long illness passed away on February 10th with family by her side. Born February 5th 1947 to Richard and Alberta. Patty was raised in Newark with her brothers Thomas and Richard (Jaye). Pat and her late husband Stephen were married in May 1965 and chose to raise their family of 5 children in Roselle Park, NJ. They stayed in Roselle Park for 20 years before moving to where Pat considered paradise, down the shore to be by the beach.

Pat's first job was at the Newark Daily News, however when she and Steve started their family, Pat started her true calling, raising the family, being mom to “The Girls” and Stephen Jr. During this time Patty worked many years at Kerneys Korner in Federal Lanes making great friends and of course heading out to hear “The Willow”. When Pat returned to work she worked as a medical biller for over 20 years in a variety of doctors offices.

Before dementia took its toll Pat could be found attending her children's events (1 a year she would always say as watching her children do their thing made her too nervous), reading a book, soaking in the sun, walking 3-5 miles a day, having a glass of chablis, or making a daily phone call to her mom.

Pat is predeceased by both her parents, her husband Stephen, and her daughter Alyson.

She is survived by her 4 children, Kelly, Colleen, Stacey, Stephen and his wife Tracy. Her 8 grandchildren, Chelsea (Michael), Kaitlyn, Anthony, Liam, Ashley, Shannon, Kylee and Bridgit and 1 great Granddaughter Evelyn. She also leaves behind her brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends she called family.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing staff at Complete Care @Shorrock Gardens for the wonderful care, respect, attention, and compassion our mom and family received. The dedicated staff in the Meadows Unit is composed of true angels/heroes.

We will receive relatives and friends on Thursday February 19th between 4pm and 6pm at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services 1329 Rt 37 West, Toms River NJ 08755
