

Peter Rossi, 75, of Toms River, NJ, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Belleville, NJ and had lived in Bloomfield before moving to Toms River in 1999. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Peter retired from the State Police after 28 years of service. He was a delegate of the NJ State PBA Local #104 for many years, and was proud to serve as the President of the NJ State PBA Local #600 for retired officers.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Jean; three daughters, Kim Moran and her husband Ken, Renee Taliercio and her husband Vinnie, and Michele; five grandchildren whom he adored: Kellie, Nicholas, Shayna, Marni and Tori. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Joseph and Carmela and sister, Lucille.
Pete was a loyal, generous man who would do anything for his family and friends; everyone always felt welcome in the Rossi home. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and practical jokes.
Donations in his name may be made to the Toms River Animal Shelter, 235 Oak Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 12:00 pm till 4:00 pm with services to begin at 3:30 pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ.
