Richard Charles Hoyer, known by most as “Pop” passed away peacefully on January 3, 2015. He was born in Teaneck, NJ on August 28, 1944. For the past 46 years he was a resident of the Toms River area. In 1976 he partnered with Mark Tucker to establish their trucking & excavating company, Rich-Mark Contracting, Inc. He enjoyed the outdoors, boating and golfing with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife Joyce nee Dorf, his loving children: Dawn Kaye and her husband Rob, Jason Hoyer and his wife Jeannine and Keith Hoyer and his wife Megan. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Marissa, Christopher, Dalton, Garrett, Alexia, Caroline and twins Hannah & Shea. Visitation will be Wedneday, January 7th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
