

Robert F. Rinkerman, “Rink”, 73 of Toms River, N.J., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born and raised in Clifton, N.J., until moving to the Jersey Shore in 1976. He was a hard working laborer for over 20 years for Laborer’s Union Local 156 before retiring to spend time enjoying life.
Rink will be remembered for his passions and happiness in time spent with friends and family such as hunting in N.J. and Pa., beach and boat fishing, traveling the states, exploring and being adventurous on drives, camping in the RV, his Dale Earnhardt love of Nascar, and a sweet tooth of vanilla ice cream. He was the most unselfish and caring man that was always a best friend, a helper and a pleaser. He is known for his daily drives to check on the ones he cared for and loved.
Robert was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Margaret Rinkerman. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Joanne ( Bigos) and his two devoted children, Kim Rinkerman and fiancé Tom Fiorello, Jesse Rinkerman and his three grandchildren, Tylar Rinkerman, Gage Rinkerman and Cannon Rinkerman. Also survived is his sister, Arlene Metrione, niece Jennifer Foley and nephew Russel DeBonis and their children.
A private celebration will be held at a later time.
