Born in Newark, he lived there and in Europe before moving to Toms River in 2006.
Mr. Wagner attended Princeton University, and received a Masters Degree from Harvard University.
He was an accomplished Pianist, and worked in the entertainment industry for many years, most recently at Mike Doolan's in Spring Lake.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Connie, Johnny, and Richie.
Mr. Wagner is survived by his wife, Yvonne; his children, Deborah Wagner-Amarini and her husband Dino of Union Beach, and Wayne Wagner and his fianc Mary of Toms River; a granddaughter, Janelle Lemen and her husband Joseph; and seven siblings, Karen, Wendy, Debbie, Patty, Janice, Lorna and Chrissy.
A private cremation was entrusted to Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Toms River, 1070 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.
