Ronald Scott Reif Sr.

Ronald Reif Sr., 62, of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, passed away in West Palm Beach, Florida, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in South Amboy, NJ, Ron attended Cedar Ridge High School and went on to graduate from Lincoln Tech in 1980. He formerly resided in Old Bridge and Matawan before settling in Lanoka Harbor in 2018.

A dedicated HVAC professional for over 40 years, Ron was the embodiment of hard work, loyalty, and selflessness. Known for always lending a hand to those in need, he made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether it was helping a neighbor, coaching sports, or just being there for friends and family, Ron always showed up when it mattered most.

He is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Reif; his nephew Robert Reif; his niece Danielle Reif; and his three beloved children: daughter Heather Zelna and her husband Brendon Zelna, son Ronny Reif Jr. and his partner Karlee Salus, and daughter Alyssa Reif and her partner Jamir Jones. Ron was also a proud and devoted grandfather to Jacob Zelna, Jackson Zelna, and Marcus Jones.

Ron’s presence will be deeply missed by his family and countless friends. He was a cherished father, grandfather, uncle, son, coach, and friend. His passions included riding his yellow-flamed Harley, crabbing on the water with his family, playing cards, and spending time outdoors. His big heart and generous spirit touched the lives of many, and to know him was truly to love him.

Ron Reif Sr. will be remembered not only for the love he gave, but for the life he led — full of kindness, laughter, and unwavering support for the people he cared about. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.
