It's been a long time since I've known you.  You have always been a part of my life.  I can't remember a time of you not being there.  I remember when you lived in the basement apartment, because my grandmother offered you a place to stay.  The house was sold and my Mom and Dad had you move in with us in the apartment.  You slept on our couch for many years.  When I got married, you moved into my bedroom,  I had an adopted uncle, and history was made.  I can't imagine not seeing you anymore.  The laughs, the sorrows.  When you moved to Toms River, you began to feed all the little animals, the deer, your tomato plants, your so called "grape arbor".  You were a character.  You were so happy when Karen was born, she was loved by you & you treated her as an Uncle.  She loved you very much.  Then Tyler and Evan came, your face would light up when you saw them.  I wish Evan had more time with you.   I know you will be watching over all of us from Heaven.  You will stay in our hearts forever.  May you rest in peace.  We all loved  you and will never forget you.

When I meet Melanie many many years ago didn't think it was a package deal. I understand that Mom and Dad comes with it but din't expect the likes of "Sam Renna". I found out quickly that Sam was a character who had a heart of gold. He was the Uncle that everybody wish for.  When Karen was born, He was her uncle and he loved her as his own family. Melanie brought them to the race track, the mall, everywhere. Sam love to watch football and played the horses. When he moved to Mom and Dad house in Toms River, he would walk to and from "Favorites" EVERY DAY!!!!!! Come home, watch the races and do it again the next day. Sam was very special in everyone life as he was always joking. He was "one of a kind". I will miss him dearly. RIP Uncle Sam!!!

Its been so hard to sit and write something because I just still cant believe you are gone...However, I have thought about you so much and today I didnt cry. I dont know if that will always be the case, because I am going to miss more than you or anybody will ever know. But, I can say tho, that you will always be apart of Me, Matt, Tyler, Evan, Mom, Dad & Nana! When I see Dr. Pepper, or a bird feeder, someone walking, Horses, Dots, fudge pops, devil dogs, The Giants, The Olive Garden, broccoli rabe, a deer, chipmunk, squirrels, birds because you loved feeding them, Maxwell house coffee bc of your jacket, Walmart, the list goes on & on. You were someone more than special to me and I promise to always remind the boys of there Uncle Sam. Thank you for being more than AMAZING and for showing me unconditional love as your adopted  niece. Thank you for ALWAYS making me laugh and thank for your generosity, kindness and so much love! My heart will forever be broken but your memory will live on forever. I love you, WE love you and may you rest in peace Uncle Sam XOXO
