Stephen Joseph Brennan

Stephen J. Brennan, 72, of Bayville, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of Bayville. Mr. Brennan retired in 2017 as a Supervisor from Berkeley Township Public Works Sanitation Department after 48 years of service. He loved spending time with his family, especially during the Christmas Holiday, Sunday dinners and barbecues. He enjoyed the beach, time spent with his pets, and he loved walking on the Ocean Gate Boardwalk. He was also an avid Jets fan. Stephen was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Toms River. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents Patrick and Adelaide, son Patrick and his father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Margaret Dudley. Surviving are his three daughters, Courtney Brennan, Stephenie Brennan and Katie Colaio and her husband Adam; sister Gail Brennan; his grandchildren Stephen Brennan, Katlyn Nichols, Daniel Nichols, Andrew Nichols and Brianna Daly; and his great grandchildren Autumn Brennan and Maleia Rivera.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10:30 AM St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Stephen’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the ASPCA.
