Born in Montclair, Mr. Anderson grew up in Denville and lived in West Milford for many years before moving to Forked River in 1996.
Prior to retiring, he was a truck driver affiliated with the Teamsters Local 560 for many years, and also had a roofing and siding business. Mr. Anderson was a music lover, and was an accomplished guitarist.
He played in several bands throughout his lifetime.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his daughter, Lisa Potter and her husband Jim; his son Eric S. Anderson, all of Forked River; his parents, William and Eleanor Anderson of Largo, FL; his brother Peter Anderson and his wife Debbie of Moneta, VA; his nieces Brittany and Kayla, and his nephew Keith.
Cremation was private under the direction of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2-4 on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the funeral home, with a funeral service at 3:45pm.
