Buddy was a graduate of Toms River High School South. After high school he enjoyed bartending at and managing the Oasis Bar, Chatterbox Bar and The Back Cabin Bar. He then worked for Cablevision/Altice Cable Company for 35 years as a Logistics Coordinator.
Buddy enjoyed all sports, especially golf and his Philadelphia Sports Teams. He was an avid history buff and animal lover. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was loved, respected and admired by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was funny, witty, smart, kind, loyal, fun loving, insightful and inspiring.
Buddy was predeceased by his parents, Wallace and Peggy Ann Ellis, and his brother Michael Ellis. He is survived by his sisters Bridget Ellis, Peggy Ann Erickson and her husband Joe, Shelley Olson, his nieces Jill Smilek and Whitney Castles, and his great niece and nephew.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1:00PM to 4:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River, NJ 08753.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the ASPCA.
