Walter W. Homan

Walter W. Homan, age 63, of Beachwood, passed away on October 24, 2023 at Community Medical Center after a long battle with Kidney Disease.  Born in Long Branch, he resided in Ocean Township before moving to Beachwood in 1987.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army, joining shortly after high school until he was medically retired in 1984 after being involved in a severe motor vehicle accident. He was always proud to be a veteran.  Walter was a member of Wellspring Church, Toms River.

He was predeceased by his parents, Walter F. and Rondelein and 3 sisters, Eileen, Karen and Laurie. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Susan; his son and his wife, Michael and Lindsay; his daughter, Ashley and two grandchildren, Jacob and Maxwell, who he adored and loved more than anything; and his sisters, Kathy West and Lisa Cozza.

Walter will be cremated.  A memorial service, including military honors, will be held at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River on Friday, October 27, 2023 between 4 pm and 6 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend.
