

Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, before moving to New Jersey in 1974, Willie resided in New York City. Willie served in the Army Reserve, thereafter retiring as a personal driver for The Conway Company of Manhattan. He was a devout Catholic, and had a love for Boxing, The Brooklyn Dodgers, and The Daily News crossword puzzles.
Willie was predeceased by his son Peter Gonzalez. He is survived by his children, Kenneth Gonzalez of Orlando, FL, Diana Gonzalez of Toms River, NJ, Lisa (Frank) Machiaverna of Newberry, FL, Richard (Nicole) Gonzalez of Toms River, NJ. He is also survived by the ones who called him “Pop”, Nicolette, Kyle, Richard, Marisa, Peter, Matthew, Alexander, Daniel, Jack, Jake, Christopher, Jessica, Tonianne, Luis, and Devin. Willie was fortunate enough to have experienced being a great grandfather to Johnny, Nora, Roman, Liam, Charlotte, Ava, Vincent, Greyson, and Luca.
Willie will always be remembered for his humor, quick wit and one-liners. His greatest joy in life was his family. He will be greatly missed and loved forever.
